Hello. I believe that making is thinking. I work with digital technology. My interests span areas like social software, sustainability, urbanism, emergent democracy & software art. I think technology and design have the capacity to change society for the better.

I'm currently doing a PhD focusing on urban spatial analysis at CASA, on a project called SCALE. The research draws on complexity science, assemblage theory, network theory and morphogenesis to gain a better understanding of the city.

For over three years I worked as a software developer at Last.fm - a social music platform based in the UK.

I make sound art using custom-made software instruments, under the title of Cacao.

I occasionally publish the things I make on my own imprint, stdio.

I'm of Indian and Spanish descent, and was brought up in Maracaibo, Venezuela.

In 2004 I studied computing at Imperial College, London. My dissertation was on Social Software.

At the time of writing, the last book I've read is Metapolitics by Alain Badiou.

I live in Hackney, London. I like it here.
