Taranto, 1991

Hello. I believe that making is thinking. My interests span areas such as social software, sustainability, urbanism, DIY publishing, emergent democracy & software art.

I study cities with computers at CASA. My doctoral research focuses on connectivity in urban spatial systems, here's some background. The research draws on complexity/network science, spatial analysis and morphogenesis to gain a better understanding of the city. I publish my work at urbagram.

Before my PhD, I worked for over three years as a software developer at Last.fm - a social music platform based in the UK. I make sound art under the title of cacao. I publish software art on my own imprint, stdio.

I was brought up in Maracaibo, Venezuela. In 2004 I studied computing at Imperial College, London. My dissertation was on Social Software. At the time of writing, the last book I've read is Metapolitics by Alain Badiou. I live in Hackney, London. I like it here.
